Freda - Costumes for the ballet

Swan tutu

The kids tried on your costumes this afternoon and they look incredible. The Coppelia costume is beautiful and perfectly matches the others. You are amazing. I just don't understand how you do it. Thank you so much.  We'll send you photos.

The Nutcracker and Mouse King head pieces are wonderful, many great compliments.

                      About Freda

Costumes play an important role in every dance performance. We strive to make finely crafted tutus and costumes that make dancers feel beautiful, special and capable of meeting their highest potential.

The most beautiful tutus and dance costumes are also the most functional, allowing the dancer to move freely and expressively, so we use the finest sewing techniques and materials suitable for lasting, beautiful costumes.

We pay great attention to the quality of the fabrics and other components that go into each costume, using the best quality and most beautiful trims available. Our rhinestones and crystals are always from Swarovski. All trims are sewn to our tutus and costumes and are placed correctly. You will not find any glued-on trim or lace. Nor will you find trim placed in any way that would interfere with partnering.

We can work from a photo, a sketch or a description to get the tutu you have always dreamed of. If your costume requires research, our extensive library is always at our fingertips. For authorized Balanchine productions, we have ready access to the Wardrobe Department at New York City Ballet.

We are nit-picky about detail and care greatly about fit. We want it to be perfect, so please be careful with measurements, as specified on our Measurement Chart & Guide. When you order a costume from Freda Tutus you will receive our personal attention. We will help you develop a design that is beautiful and professionally made. We are happy to do the research necessary to ensure that your costume is correct for the ballet you are performing. Give us a call and we can talk.
